Hi, we’re Caroline and Hayley — sisters, design lovers and the duo behind Mantilini.

Caroline is a graphic designer from Liverpool who spent 15+ years in the corporate design world before taking the leap in 2025 to create art she actually wanted to make. Hayley is a London-based merchandiser, and together we created Mantilini to make great design feel accessible, joyful and a little bit more fun.

We make art prints inspired by colour, culture, recognisable sayings, everyday objects and the things that make us laugh — from life’s little joys to a healthy dose of sarcasm and dark humour. Prints that can brighten a room, start a conversation or simply make you smile every time you walk past them.

We’re big on pop culture, cult films, brilliant female comedians, 90s supermodels, Sex and the City, Wes Anderson and pretty much any excuse to visit an art exhibition (the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition is a must every year). Basically, if it’s stylish, nostalgic, funny or slightly iconic, we’re probably into it.

And then there’s the name.

Mantilini is a nod to one of our favourite films, Heat. The legendary scene where Robert De Niro and Al Pacino finally meet was filmed in a Los Angeles restaurant called Kate Mantilini - a little piece of movie history that sadly no longer exists. We loved the name, loved the reference and wanted to keep it alive in our own way.
